I will dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
